Advanced Technology Production Line

VINASTEEL’s entire production line is equipped with cutting-edge technology, enabling efficient operations, cost savings, and enhanced competitiveness in the market

Key advantages:

  • Production costs are approximately 5% lower compared to conventional lines.
  • High level of automation, requiring only about 200 personnel to operate the entire line, minimizing dependence on manual labor.

Induction Furnace

The induction furnace is the technological highlight of the production line, delivering top-level energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.

Key advantages:

  • Smoke-free, no solid emissions, and no heat loss, meeting clean production standards.

  • Low metal loss – only about 2–3%, with virtually no significant wastage.
  • Near-zero CO emissions, aligning with COP26 commitments to reduce emissions.
  • Significantly reduced billet heating time: only 20 minutes compared to 220 minutes with traditional technologies.

Rolling Mill System

VINASTEEL owns a fully integrated steel rolling line, operating automatically from rough rolling to intermediate and finishing rolling, ensuring uniform products, stable mechanical properties, and high-quality surface finish.

Key highlights:

  • Vertical and horizontal rolling stands are arranged alternately, providing stable billet guidance, reducing vibration and dimensional errors
  • The 650 roughing stand – the first of its kind in Vietnam – allows flexible production of various billet sizes (130×130 mm to 165×165 mm, up to 12 m long).
  • Exceptional rolling speeds: 40 m/s for bars and 90 m/s for coils.
  • Synchronized rolling structure reduces billet heat loss, saving energy and enhancing the mechanical strength of the products.

Quality Management System

VINASTEEL implements a strict quality management system, overseeing the entire production process: from raw billets → steel rolling → finished product inspection.

  • Domestic standards: TCVN for construction steel, structural steel, steel plates, pipes, alloy steel, etc.
  • Industry-specific certifications: QCVN, green products, mechanical and chemical testing certificates..
